Nonprofit leaders in conversation around a planning table

What does nonprofit consulting cost?

Every engagement is scoped to the organization in front of us, so there is no single price list. Most partnerships begin with a free 30-minute call, and often an organizational assessment, so we understand what you actually need before anyone talks about scope or investment. We work with organizations of many different budget sizes, and we will tell you honestly if a smaller piece of work would serve you better than a larger one.

How long is a typical engagement?

It depends entirely on the work. A facilitated board retreat or a focused policy review may take a few weeks. Strategic planning usually runs three to six months. Interim leadership, executive search, and succession work follow the organization's timeline. Some partners stay with us for years, checking in as their needs change.

Do you work with small or newly formed nonprofits?

Yes, gladly. Some of our most meaningful work has been with brand new organizations and small teams doing enormous things. Early structure and good habits save a young nonprofit years of untangling later, and we love being part of that beginning.

Can you help us form a 501(c)(3) or complete our nonprofit paperwork?

Yes. We help founding groups move from idea to operating nonprofit: incorporation and state filings, federal tax-exempt application support, founding board recruitment and onboarding, bylaws, and the foundational policies a new organization needs in place. We are consultants rather than attorneys or accountants, so when a question calls for legal or tax counsel we will say so and help you find the right professional.

Do you work remotely across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska?

Yes. Our home office is in Wenatchee, Washington, and we partner with organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest. Much of our work happens virtually, and we travel for retreats, board sessions, and the moments where being in the room together matters.

What happens on the free intro call?

You talk, we listen. Thirty minutes, no pitch deck. Tell us where your organization is, what feels stuck or uncertain, and what you hope is possible. We will ask questions, share what we are hearing, and be straight with you about whether we are the right fit and what a next step could look like.

Do you help with grant writing?

We help you build the fund development strategy that grants live inside of: funder research and alignment, case for support, program narratives, budgets, and reporting systems. Where grant writing itself is the need, we will tell you whether it is a fit for our team or connect you with a writer we trust.

What is the difference between consulting and coaching?

Consulting is work we do alongside your organization: assessing, designing, facilitating, and building the plans, policies, and systems you need. Coaching is work we do alongside a person, usually a director, board chair, or leadership team, thinking through decisions, growth, and hard conversations. Many partnerships include both, because organizations and the people leading them grow together.

Still wondering whether we are the right fit?

Bring us the question you have not been able to answer internally. Thirty minutes, no obligation.
