Erin Tofte is a seasoned diversity, equity, and inclusion trainer with more than 10 years of experience supporting communities and organizations. Most recently, she served as Associate Dean of Campus Life, Equity & Inclusion at Wenatchee Valley College, where she advanced campus-wide equity initiatives and created systemic change through policy development, training, and strategic planning.
Erin holds a Juris Doctorate from Willamette College of Law, specializing in International and Comparative Law, and a bachelor’s degree in Law, Societies & Justice with a minor in Human Rights from the University of Washington. Her educational journey includes study abroad experiences in Chiapas, Mexico and Quito, Ecuador, and her service as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua, where she focused on community development, agriculture, public health, and education.
Over her career, Erin has led health equity coalitions, trained more than 400 individuals on DEI-related topics, and developed programs that addressed systemic racism, privilege, and cultural competence. Her accomplishments at Wenatchee Valley College include creating a diversity requirement for graduation, launching a Bias Incident Response Team, and providing statewide trainings for undocumented student support.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Erin combines her professional expertise with her lived experiences and heritage—Norwegian, Mexican, and Irish—to foster inclusive, culturally competent organizations. She currently resides in Wenatchee with her daughter and remains active on nonprofit boards that align with her values.
