Maggie Koch is a writer and marketing professional living in Southwest Washington. She earned her master’s degree in strategic communication from Washington State University where she learned how to blend creativity with strategy to connect people through words. Over the years, she has built a career helping organizations share their stories in ways that resonate with audiences both in person and online.
Her path has been shaped by service and curiosity. As a Peace Corps volunteer, Maggie spent five years overseas in Mali and Slovakia. There, she taught sustainable agricultural practices, partnered with NGOs, hosted a radio show, edited two bilingual newsletters, instructed middle school and high school English, and performed as a concert flautist. After returning to the States, Maggie continued her work in the nonprofit arena as a team leader with The Vermont Youth Conservation Corps and as a residential manager for Abilities First in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Maggie enjoys turning back-of-the-envelope ideas into compelling proposals that help nonprofits secure the resources they need to thrive. Whether she’s writing for a community organization or developing a digital strategy for business, Maggie brings empathy, creativity, and a strong belief in the impact of well-crafted communication.
